JOB PURPOSE
This position supports our Operations, Sales, Logistics, Quality, Accounting and Environmental, Health & Safety Departments and is responsible for data entry, auditing, and reporting of key production metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONS
- Audit and record daily treating and framing data
- Record daily plant kiln data and chemical usage
- Ensure all reports are submitted to the appropriate Finance team members and filed on site
- Gather and submit freight invoices to the finance team
- Process bi-weekly payroll for the New Brighton plant including vacation time and safety hours
- Monthly, prepare month-end reports and submit to Finance
- Organize and distribute inventory tags to remote yards-annually during inventory counts
- Process and track chemical purchases
- Produce laser printed tags for multiple plants using in-house laser printer, schedule shipments for tags and communicate shipment details to the plants
- Responsible for counting poles in the yard on a weekly basis
QUALITY
- Review and approve third party inspection invoices by comparing them to internal production records
SALES
- Upload bills of lading into the customer SharePoint portal weekly
- Process treatment services purchase orders through our order processing system and submit for scheduling
LOGISTICS/ACCOUNTING
- Gather daily fuel delivery purchase orders and submit to the finance team
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
- Manage record keeping for Environmental Health & Safety forms and reports
MISCELLANEOUS
- Provide ideas and solutions to Management and/or IT to improve processes and systems to increase efficiency
- Backup phones as needed for front office
- Complete Service Center projects as needed for other departments
- Other projects as requested by manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Minimum Requirement of High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-year BA degree preferred
- Accounting experience a plus
Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of math and volumes is required
- Proficient in basic math skills and Excel formulas
- Familiar with Metric and American (or English) Standard systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is located in our New Brighton, MN facility.
To perform the duties of this job, the employee is required to use the computer for long periods of time in a sitting position. Employee must also be able conduct pole counts in the yard and to lift up to 25 lbs.
